We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Mr. David Hendricks, who was born in 1938 and peacefully left us on February 3, 2025. David was a charismatic and happy-go-lucky man with a love for life that was infectious to all who knew him.
David leaves behind a loving family that includes his son, Ronald Hendricks; daughter-in-law, Tamara Thomas Hendricks; granddaughters, Taylor Carlson, Tara Baird, Katelyn Hendricks and Abigail Hendricks. He is also survived by his siblings, Kent Mattox, Donald Hendricks, Susan Schrecengost, and Barbara Wurtz.
David was also surrounded by friends; David and Grace Riesgo, Bob Herring, Betty Moreland, and many more . He joins his predeceased wife, Patricia Hendricks, and children, Tamara Marie Hendricks and Dennis Hendricks.
With a personality as colorful as his favorite color, blue, David had a wide array of interests that brought him joy and kept him active. His passion for 50s music often filled his home, creating a warm and inviting environment. An avid sports fan, he cherished anything sports-related, especially cheering on his beloved Chargers and Padres.
David could often be found enjoying his favorite foods and drinks, chocolate and a good can of Diet Pepsi or beer, while immersed in a game of poker, pool, or shuffleboard. Indeed, David was a master at pool and shuffleboard, and it was among his greatest accomplishments. His favorite local spots, such as Elks, Eagles, and the Heritage Park Senior Facility, were frequent destinations for David to indulge in these pastimes.
Despite his cheerful disposition and vibrant interests, what David cherished most was his family and friends. His loss leaves a void that cannot be filled but his memory and spirit will continue to live on through his loved ones. His legacy of joy, charisma, and love will not be forgotten, but sorely missed by all who knew and loved him.
