James Fisher
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of James Timothy Fisher, affectionately known as “Spider,” on April 19, 2024. A loving son, husband, father, and grandfather, James was born on September 28, 1966, in Colorado Springs, CO, and spent his formative years in Janesville, WI. Though he resided in Las Vegas, Nevada for his final years, his heart never left his family, his roots, and the places that shaped him. James was a man of many talents, a master of maintenance construction, having dedicated 30 years to the commercial business. His work was a testament to his creativity and innovation, but his true passion lay in his hobbies. An ardent Spider-Man fan – a love reflected in his nickname, “Spider”- James found joy in the intricate craft of leather working and chain maille creation. His generosity was legendary; he would give a stranger the shirt off his back without a second thought. His spirit was as inspiring as it was loving. A quote that encapsulates James’s approach to life is, “Life’s most persistent and urgent question is, ‘What are you doing for others?'” – Martin Luther King Jr. James’s most treasured moments were those spent with his family. Married to the love of his life, Melissa Fisher, since January 5, 2001, he embraced fatherhood with open arms, cherishing every moment spent with his children, Robert Swatkowski, Melody Fisher, and Kenneth Jasper. James was a devoted grandfather to Connor and Myra Jasper, whom he loved dearly. He was a loving son to his mother, Catherine Fisher. James was preceded in death by his brother, Dan Bollig. Please consider sharing your memories and uploading photos to the memorial page in honor of James. Your tributes will contribute to keeping his legacy alive and provide comfort to his family during this difficult time. James lived a life of love, generosity, and creativity. Let us honor him by remembering the inspiring, loving, and creative man that he was.
