Jabril Anderson
With profound sorrow, we announce the passing of Jabril Sabri Anderson, affectionately known as Jay, on July 23, 2024. Born on February 2, 1986, in Las Vegas, Nevada, Jabril was a beacon of light, love, and laughter. His generous spirit, infectious laughter, and creative brilliance touched the lives of all who knew him. Jabril was a man of many talents. A gifted low voltage technician, he loved problem solving and finding solutions, and enjoyed sharing his knowledge. His creativity transcended the realm of his work into his daily life. As a lover of music, he taught himself to play numerous instruments. He recently began using AI software to create songs, experimenting with lyrics, genres and styles.
He read widely and often, and wrote poetry and short stories. Jabril had a way with words that could ignite a room with laughter, provoke thought, and inspire. His sketches and computer-based art were windows into his unique vision and perspective. A passionate gamer, Jabril was a devoted player of Dungeons and Dragons at an early age, his interest later turning to playing and creating computer games. Jabril’s love was generously extended to those he cherished; his family, friends and workmates. He was also a doting cat-dad, whose affection for his feline companion was unparalleled. Jabril treasured his working relationships, and valued and helping others, happy to lend a hand whenever he could. He approached life with open-mindedness, often encouraging those around him to view the world with a broader perspective. Jabril’s physical presence may have left us, but his spirit continues to live on in the hearts of all who loved him. His legacy is one of love, creativity, laughter, and generosity.
